Is Your Copy Machine a Security Risk???
You may have recently seen the CBS News story about data security and copier machines. Many of today’s copier machines retain data of every single document scanned, copied or faxed. The hard drive which holds this data, which is often sensitive, could be accidentally or maliciously accessed and disclosed, and could have a huge impact on your business.
At Gray & Creech Office Systems, we have a solution that will give you and your customers peace of mind.
We can provide a data security kit on all of our new Sharp machines. This data security kit automatically removes the data from the hard drive after each use. If however, you want to file data on the Sharp for easy and fast print out, it will also encrypt the files for added peace of mind.
The optional Data Security Kit (DSK) uses an advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm in all data before it is written to RAM or Flash memory and the hard disk. The DSK also provides overwriting routines for deleted data to ensure all information in virtually irretrievable by unauthorized users.
Sharp was the first to address copier security and remains the highest rated company for MFP products, and is regarded as one of the industry’s greatest security innovators. Business and government agencies depend on this level of data security that Sharp provides.
Gray & Creech has a solution for the office machines that do not have data security kits. We have trained technicians who will remove your old copier from your premises; remove the hard drive from the copier, and to destroy the hard drive. For added peace of mind, we will provide you with photos of the destruction of the hard drive
At Gray & Creech Office Systems, we understand how important it is to protect your customers’ privacy. Our solution protects your privacy, so you can protect your customers’ privacy.
